Psychotherapy is all about being in relationship. It may sound simple but life is about relationships after all and through the counselling relationship you can learn so much about your own unique patterns of behaviour and how they impact on others and how others impact on you.
The therapeutic space is a non-judgemental environment where you can bring all of you so that you can work at being more compassionate inside and be seen by someone else as you are. For many people this can be a life-changing and valuable experience. However the most important thing is that you are giving yourself a space to be listened to, a place for your feelings and perhaps some emotions knowing that if you allow that in your life things will get easier over time.
